Kneehill County is issuing a Request for Tender for the supply of one (1) Gravel Trailer Tridem, with Cross Gate Belly Dump to be delivered Free on Board (F.O.B.) to the Kneehill County Maintenance Shop (205 1st Ave, Three Hills, AB). The desired date for delivery of this unit under the contract is ASAP after the solicitation closes; Kneehill County recognizes that there are global supply chain issues and will consider this during the evaluations. The unit shall be a standard production model gravel trailer with cross gate belly dump to maintain county roads and spread gravel within the County. This specification covers only the significant details of the unit. The Vendor is responsible for delivering a fully equipped unit with compatible components to provide dependable, efficient service. The gravel trailer shall be new only. Kneehill County will NOT accept demonstrators or previously used rental units.
Please note: Kneehill County is willing to look at new in-stock units. We know supply chain constraints affect all industries and will consider this when evaluating lead times. |

Awarded Summary
For the Request for Tender (RFT-2025-3202-BD01) for one (1) new belly dump crossgate gravel tridem trailer, we had three (3) vendors register to bid on Bids & Tenders eProcurement site. We received zero (0) “No Bid Submitted” replies and one (1) submission. We performed our preliminary evaluations; the one bid was under budget.
The submission met our required specifications. To stay within the policy, the weighted evaluations were completed and reviewed; Hayworth Equipment Sales Inc., with a 2025 CG-3500 Crossgate Trailer, was the highest-rated and only quoted submission. We work with some of the vendors, although they are not our parts supplier for our current units. We currently have Canuck trailers in our fleet that match the required specifications.
