Kneehill County is issuing a Request for Tender for the supply of one (1) Triaxle Lowboy Hydraulic Drop Neck Equipment Hauler Trailer, 45-ton capacity, to be delivered Free on Board (F.O.B.) to the Kneehill County Maintenance Shop (205 1st Ave, Three Hills, AB). The desired date for delivery of this unit under the contract is ASAP after January 15, 2025. The unit shall be a standard production model triaxle low boy equipment hauler trailer for transporting and recovering county equipment throughout the county. This specification covers only the significant details of the unit. The Vendor is responsible for delivering a fully equipped unit with compatible components to provide dependable, efficient service. The low-boy trailer shall be new only. Kneehill County will NOT accept demonstrators or previously used rental units.

Awarded Summary
For the Request for Tender (RFT-2025-3203-LB01) for one (1) new lowboy detachable gooseneck equipment trailer, we had eight (8) vendors register to bid on Bids & Tenders eProcurement site. We received two (2) “No Bid Submitted” replies and three (3) submissions. We performed our preliminary evaluations; all of the bids were under budget.
Most submissions met our required specifications with only a few minor non-conformities. After the weighted evaluations were completed and reviewed, Brandt Tractor with a 2024 H450-HRGN Fixed Neck Lowboy was the highest-rated and lowest-quoted submission. We work with some of the vendors, although they are not our parts supplier for our current units.
