Kneehill County is inviting proposals from an experienced and qualified company to perform the asbestos abatement in preparation for a build-to-demolition located within the Village of Carbon, Alberta. Under the contract, the desired date for completion of the reconstruction is no later than September 1, 2025. These specifications cover only the significant details of the project. All work must meet or exceed existing buildings, hazardous materials, and safety codes in Kneehill County and the province of Alberta. The contractor should have an experienced team of technical staff to complete the assignment and demonstrate suitable knowledge and experience in the abatement of asbestos. |

Kneehill County issued a public Request for Proposal (RFP-2025-4203-CSAA01) seeking qualified contractors to perform asbestos abatement services on the secondary building located at 329 Bruce Avenue, Carbon, Alberta, in advance of its scheduled demolition.
Seven (7) compliant submissions were received and thoroughly evaluated. All proposals were within the approved budget. One submission was received outside of the Bids & Tenders system due to technical difficulties, but was still considered in the evaluation process.
After a comprehensive review, Inflector Environmental Services LP was identified as the highest-scoring proponent and has been awarded the Carbon Shop Asbestos Abatement project contract.
